We acknowledge the Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr and Yaegl people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live and work. We honour the First Nations peoples culture and connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

Potami the label is a one woman show with all designs completely hand made at home by Shawny. All products have been designed as an heirloom accessory to be loved, cherished and passed down through the ages, with the focus on slow and conscious fashion

Potami is committed to practices and products that honour the natural world and our innate dependence to Mother Nature. Drawing on ancient techniques, our prayer is to help facilitate a deeper connection to our roots. 

The history of leather is closely merged with the development of mankind and it wasn't only a necessary component to survival, it was a means of transmitting art. Humans have been adorning themselves in leather for thousands of years, dating back to ancient civilisations. To continue this ancient tradition that has stood the test of time is an honour and a privilege.
